Thoughts on video games

This section of the website (/games/*) contains thoughts, discussion, and reviews of video games and other things related to video games.

It is pretty fun to think critically about video games. Thinking about what makes a game fun, or why it is fun, often makes me appreciate the subtleties in the game more than I did before. Good games often have in-depth stories, detailed game mechanics, enjoyable music, and beautiful art, and it is easy to take those aspects for granted even though it is very difficult and expensive to build great games.

Video games are an important part of 21st century entertainment and are worth playing and talking about. I do not have much time for them because of my other personal and professional obligations, so the following pages are being written quite slowly.
